Parkerfield students attend Arkansas City Public Schools which is a results-producing public school district. The district holds a tradition of excellence in all matters related to student achievement and true, well-rounded education. Ark City students have been on the front lines of achievement and continue the tradition of exceeding learning targets suggested by the state. District-wide efforts earned the district 37 Standards of Excellence Awards after the 2012 state assessments for a total of 238 since 2005.

Parkerfield has a motto, “Where Every Person Matters”. The City of Parkerfield, just east of Arkansas City, was incorporated on March 9, 2004, by more than 300 residents who wanted to maintain “the friendly rural character of the community”.
This small community, which is growing every day, consists of approximately 400 residents with 156 residences, and boasts numerous housing choices that continue to attract individuals to its friendly, rural character.

Highway US-166 is to the north of Parkerfield. Arkansas City is a quick 5 minute commute and Winfield is less than 20 minutes away.
